Join Our Team: Grant Writer (Maternity Cover)

Are you passionate about sustainable agriculture and skilled in securing grants? The Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) is looking for a talented Grant Writer to join our team on a 6-month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to support SAN’s mission of transforming agriculture toward a sustainable and equitable future for communities and nature.




About the Role: As part of SAN’s business development team, you will craft compelling proposals for institutional donors and grant-making foundations, contributing directly to projects that balance social, environmental, and economic benefits. You will work closely with SAN’s Technical Unit and network members to design and deliver competitive grant proposals that support our global work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and plan new grant funding opportunities with institutional donors and foundations.

  • Lead the proposal development process for selected opportunities.

  • Collaborate with SAN’s technical team and partners to develop strong project proposals.


Qualifications: We’re looking for a professional with:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in International Relations, Development, or Economics.

  • At least five years of experience writing high-quality grant proposals, securing significant funds from global foundations or donors.

  • Experience in sustainable agriculture, international development, or conservation is a plus.
