The implementation of our signature program TerraViva's pilot phase in Colombia, a project funded by the Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate (GCBC) of the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) was recently showcased in the Coffee Science Foundation's scientific poster session of the Specialty Coffee Expo, hosted by the Specialty Coffee Association in Portland, Oregon.
Our Senior Manager for Agricultural Transformation, Rafael Isidro Parra-Peña S., represented SAN and the TerraViva consortium of partners at the exhibit, and shared the results of the participatory action research conducted between 2022 and 2023 with the coffee-growing community of Gaitania, in the Tolima department of Colombia.
We are delighted to have had the opportunity to share the process and results of this project with participants of the Expo, as we are certain that transformational approaches like this one are key to guarantee the long-term sustainability of territorial agendas.
