Enzo Jiménez

Senior Manager, Data Science & Technological Innovations

Enzo joined SAN in August 2014 as an IT Manager, where he worked on designing, developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating digital tools to support the network's member organizations and the SAN Secretariat's technical team, all within the framework of various proposals and projects. His responsibilities included oversight and management of platforms, applications, services, technological resources, documentation, and both internal and external support. Notably, he designed and developed the Intelligence Hub, a tool that provides SAN and its member organizations with a mechanism to collect farm data points, identify areas where farmers need assistance, and direct support to the appropriate farmer audiences.

After seven years at SAN, Enzo transitioned to new roles at major tech companies like Amazon, VMWare, and Microsoft. There, he served as a Senior Cloud and Software Engineer, managing the entire infrastructure and its associated sub-components such as networks, storage, backups, and more. He was responsible for working with a team to oversee the firm’s global IT infrastructure and applications, providing data analysis, reviewing processes and tools, and delivering operational insights on service reliability and quality to engineering and product teams. He also contributed to the development of new tools and predictive models to identify and test potential improvements in product development and operations, while monitoring the impact of changes on organizational performance metrics.

In September 2024, Enzo returned to SAN as the Senior Manager for Data Science and Technology Innovations. In this role, he is responsible for driving technological innovation, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the Secretariat and among SAN’s member organizations. He collaborates closely with the Senior Management Committee, cross-functional teams, and SAN’s member organizations to design and implement transformative projects that improve operations and services, ensuring that technological advancements align with SAN’s mission and goals.

Enzo holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science with an emphasis on project management from UNED (Universidad Estatal a Distancia) and a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from TEC (Tecnologico de Costa Rica). He is currently pursuing a master’s in business Analytics from Universidad Latina.
